Printed Ephemera — 1810-1838
Card, valentine card
Sample Valentine's card with cream lace paper border and central rectangular panel. Applied to the panel is a birch made of dried grasses and a wreath of embossed leaves. Below is handwritten 'A Little Corrective To be applied when the patient is troublesome'. This word has now been crossed through in pencil and the word 'naughty' added. Other pencil marking in the centre of the wreath has also been crossed through indicating that this was a sample card only.
