The Water King in the Silver Palace
Handcoloured theatrical souvenir portrait plate printed with an engraving of the character The Water King in the Silver Palace. Such plates would have been sold plain as theatrical souvenirs for colouring and tinselling at home. Published by John Redington and sold by Webb, of Central Street.
The Water Palace was a spectacle, performed after other plays. It invovled fountains, fireworks and dramatic combat.
