Mr G French as Harlequin
Theatrical souvenir plate printed with an engraving of the actor Mons. Louis as Harlequin. Published by Redington and sold by Webb (Brick Lane). The portrait is uncoloured but the actor's costume is decorated with glitter of four different colours. Such portraits would have been sold plain as theatrical souvenirs for colouring and tinselling at home.
