Mr Osbaldiston as Hardyknute
Handcoloured theatrical souvenir plate engraved with a portrait of the actor Mr Osbaldiston in the role of Hardyknute. The portrait is embellished with metal foil tinsel ornaments on the armour and weapons. Silk cloth has been applied to other parts of the clothing. Such sheets would have been sold plain as theatrical souvenirs for colouring and tinselling at home.
