Roman unfired clay building material (daub); recovered from the Hadrianic fire levels.
A fragment of clay and timber housing burnt in the devastating fire which destroyed much of the city during the reign of the Emperor Hadrian, c. AD 120-125. The cause of the fire is unknown and was probably accidental.
