Sample jar, cinnamon flower sample
Sample of dried cinnamon flower buds from India, imported through the London docks for use in the food industry. Although cinnamon bark is now generally used as a spice, the dried flower was in use in Europe in the Middle Ages and was originally more popular. It is still said to have a better flavour than the bark.
