Will Neagus, a baker issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business in White Horse Yard, Drury Lane, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 876; Obv inscription: WILL.NEAGVS.IN.WHITE.HORS (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A pair of scales and a wheatsheaf (in field); Rev inscription: YARD.IN.DRVRY.LANE.BACKER (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALFE / PENNY / W.I.N. (in four lines of Roman capitals with triad of initials as bottom, in field).
Drury Lane, is in the London borough of Camden, and the City of Westminster; it previously lay within Middlesex.
