The Nine Rolls
Thomas Hunt, a baker, issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business in the Strand, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2985; Obv inscription: THOMAS.HVNT.BAKER (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Nine rolls of bread (in field); Rev inscription: IN.THE.STRAND.1666 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALF / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
