John Laurence, issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business in Silver Street (area of Wood Street).
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2838; Obv inscription: IOHN.LAWRANCE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = 1659 (in field); Rev inscription: IN.SILVER.STREET (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = I.S.L. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
