The Two Brewers
Richard Cupman issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business in Rotten Row (now Crescent Row), Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2420; Obv inscription: RICHARD.CVPMAN.AT.THE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Two brewers (in field); Rev inscription: IN.ROTTEN.ROW.1666 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALFE / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
