The Limeman
John Standbrook, a lime man, issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business on Millbank, Westminster, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1909; Obv inscription: IOHN. STANDBROOKE. LYME. MAN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A man carrying a sack (in field); Rev inscription: AT.MILLBANCKE.HIS.HALF.PENY (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = I.E.S. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
