Token, trade token
Richard Bryan issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business at St Katherine's Mill Bridge, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2596; Obv inscription: RICHARD.BRYAN.1667 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALF / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field); Rev inscription: AT.ST.KATHERNS.MIL.BRIDG (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = R.M.B. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
