Boyne & Williamson (1891) reference Surrey number 291; Obv inscription: IOHN.WILLIAMS.1670 (around field, in Roma capitals) Device = The Royal arms (in field); Rev inscription: IN.LOWER.TOOTING (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALF / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
Lower Tooting formerly formed part of Surrey, it now lies within the London Borough of Wandsworth.
