Boyne & Williamson (1891) reference Yorkshire number 196; Obv inscription: MATHEW.HARDWICKE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A mortar and pestle (in field); Rev inscription: WILLIAM.WAVGH.1668 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = THEIR / HALFE / PENNY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
