Bronze flanged axehead, without loop, with plain wide blade. Flanges continue slightly beyond the stop ridge. Found during excavations for the building of the Victoria Lower Dock, 30ft below Thames high water mark. Loaned by the Trustees of the Bowes Museum, Barnard Castle.
