Coin copy, denarius
A contemporary copy of a silver denarius of Emperor Hadrian, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 117-138. The back of the coin depicts Salus, the female personification of health. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 119-138.
Obv: Laureate head of Hadrian, facing right. Obv inscription: (IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG)?. Rev: Salus, seated left, feeding a serpent, coiled round an altar, from a patera (dish) held in her right hand. Rev inscription: PM TR P (COS III)? , SALVS AVG in exergue.
