Coin, as
A copper alloy as of Lucilla; daughter of the Roman Emperor, Marcus Aurelius, AD 161-180, and wife to her father’s co-emperor, Lucius Verus, AD 164-169. The back of the coin depicts Juno, protector and patron goddess of Rome and Roman women. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 164.
Obv: Draped, bare-head of Lucilla, facing right. Obv inscription: (LVCILLA AVGVSTA)?. Rev: Juno, standing left, holding a patera (dish) in her right hand and a vertical sceptre in the lef, with a peacock by her feet. Rev inscription: (IVNO REGINA)?, [SC] in field.
