Coin, denarius
A silver denarius of Empress Julia Domna, wife of Emperor Septimius Severus (AD 193-211) and mother to emperors Geta (AD 209-211) and Caracalla (AD 198-217). The back of the coin depicts Pudicitia, the female personification of modesty and chastity. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 196-211.
Obv: Draped and bare-headed bust of Julia Domna, facing right. Obv inscription: IVLIA AVGVSTA. Rev: Pudicitia, veiled and draped, enthroned left, with her right hand raised to her breast. Rev inscription: PVDICITIA.
