Coin, nummus AE3
A copper alloy nummus of Emperor Constantine I, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 306-337. The back of the coin depicts Sol, the Roman sun god. This coin was minted in Treveri (modern day Trier, Germany) AD 313-317.
Obv: Draped, cuirassed and diademed bust of Constantine I, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP CONSTANTIVS [AVG]. Rev: Sol, standing left, raising his right hand and holding a globe in the left. Rev inscription: SOLI INVICTO COMITI, mint marks in field, ...TR in exergue
