Mortar
Purbeck marble. Fragment from the rim of a mortar, one squared lug remaining; curved tooled exterior, broken at the base of the lug; a band of fine chisel marks
immediately under the rim; below this the chisel marks run around the vessel and appear at different angles. The interior of the vessel is smooth.
