Coin, semis
A copper alloy semis of Emperor Nero, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 54-68. The back of the coin depicts a gaming table. This coin was minted in Lugdunum (modern day Lyon, France), AD 60-65, to commemorate the Quinquennalian Games.
Obv: Bare head of Nero, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP NERO CAESAR AVG PONTIF. Rev: Agonistic prize table, with a wreath and urn above. Rev inscription: CER QVINQ ROMAE CON, SC in exergue.
