Coin, as
A copper alloy dupondius of Titus as Caesar (Crown Prince). Titus was given the title of Caesar on the ascension of his father, Emperor Vespasian, to the imperial throne, AD 69-79. Titus ruled as emperor, AD 79-81. The back of the coin depicts Pax, the Roman goddess of peace. This coin was possibly minted in Lugdunum (modern day Lyon, France), AD 76-79?
Obv: Laureate head of Titus, facing right, small globe at point of bust. Obv inscription: T CAES... CEN... . Rev: An altar. Rev inscription: PROVIDENT in exergue, SC in field.
