A copper alloy as of Emperor Domitian, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 81-96. The back of the coin depicts Virtus, the personification of courage and bravery. This coin was minted in AD 84-96.
Obv: Laureate head of Domitian, facing right. Obv inscription: ...DOMIT AVG GER... . Rev: Virtus, standing right, holding a reversed, vertical spear in his right hand and a parazonium (dagger) in the left, with his left foot set on a helmet. Rev inscription: VIRTVTI [AVGVSTI], SC in field.
