Coin, as
A copper alloy as of Emperor Vespasian, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 69-79. The back of the coin depicts Securitas, the Roman goddess of security and stability. This coin was minted Lugdunum (Lyon), France, AD 71.
Obv: Laureate head of Vespasian, facing right, small globe at point of bust. Obv inscription: IMP [CAES VESPASIA]NVS AVG COS III. Rev: Securitas, seated right, holding a vertical sceptre in her left hand and raising her right hand to her head, altar to right. Rev inscription: [S]EC[VRITA AVGVSTI], SC in exergue.
