Coin, radiate
A copper alloy radiate, possibly of Emperor Carausius, ruler of the Romano-British Empire, AD 286-293. The back of the coin may depict Salus, the female personification of health. This coin was possibly minted in the Romano-British Empire, AD 286-293.
Obv: Radiate bust, facing right. Obv inscription: Illegible. Rev: Salus? standing left, feeding a serpent rising from an altar with a patera (dish) held in her right hand? and holding a sceptre in the left. Rev inscription: [S]ALV[S] AVG.
