A copper alloy radiate of Emperor Carausius, ruler of the Romano-British Empire, AD 286-293. The back of the coin depicts Pax, the Roman goddess of peace. This coin was minted in the Romano-British Empire, AD 286-293.
Obv: Draped, bearded and radiate bust of Carausius, facing right. Obv inscription: ... [C]ARA[VSIVS]... . Rev: Pax, standing left, holding an olive branch in her extended right hand and a transverse sceptre in the left. Rev inscription: PA[X AVG].
