A copper alloy as of Emperor Trajan, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 98-117. The back of the coin depicts Victoria, the Roman goddess of victory. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 100.
Obv: Laureate head of Trajan, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP CAES NERVAE TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P... . Rev: Victory, advancing left, holding a shield in her right hand inscribed SPQR. Rev inscription: SPQR OPTIMO PRINCIPI, SC in exergue.
