Bowl
Fragment of a Peterborough ware bowl (Mortlake/Fengate type). The outside of the rim is decorated with rows of chevrons with deeper, circular depressions round the neck, one more row of oblique lines below, then several rows of smaller indentations. It is likely that a range of implements, including bird bones, twigs and flint or bone tools were used to create this decoration. The rim is also decorated internally with small 'bird-bone' impressions round the top and incised cross-hatching below.
