Coin, dupondius
A copper alloy as of Emperor Vespasian, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 69-79. The back of the coin depicts Victoria, the Roman goddess of victory. This coin was minted AD 69-79.
Obv: Radiate head? of Vespasian, facing right. Obv inscription: [IMP CAES VESPASIAN AVG COS]... . Rev: Victory, standing right on the prow of a ship, holding a wreath in her extended right hand and a palm in the left. Rev inscription: [VICTORIA NAVALIS], SC in field.
