Coin, as
A copper alloy as of Emperor Claudius, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 41-54. The back of the coin depicts Libertas, the Roman goddess of liberty. This coin was minted in AD 41-50.
Obv: Bare head of Claudius, facing left. Obv inscription: [TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG PM TR P IMP]... . Rev: Libertas, standing front, head right, extending her left hand and holding a pileus (cap) in the right. Rev inscription: [LIBERTAS] AVGVSTA, SC in field.
