Secular badge dated to the 15th century. On a complete version of the badge, the arms and crown form the frame of the badge. There is a label in the centre saying 'thruthe schall' and a label on the crown saying 'be crownid' (making up the phrase 'truth shall be crowned'). On this fragmentary version, only the letters 'truthe scha' have survived on the centre label. This is probably a lover's token referring to truth and fidelity.
