Coin, as
A copper alloy as of Domitian as Caesar (Crown Prince) under his father, Emperor Vespasian, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 69-79. Domitian followed his brother, Emperor Titus, to the throne in AD 81 and ruled until AD 96. The back of the coin depicts Spes, the female personification of hope. This coin was minted in AD 73-79.
Obv: Laureate head of Domitian, facing right. Obv inscription: CAESAR [AVG F DOMITIANVS COS...]. Rev: Spes, advancing left, holding a flower in her extended right hand and raising the hem of her dress with the left. Rev inscription: SC in field.
