Scabbard
A small fragment from the upper part of a sword scabbard. It has fine impressed linear decoration in the form of criss-crossed lines and rows of horizontal lines on the front and groups of horizontal lines on the back. There is a centre back seam with flesh/grain stitch holes. The lower end has been cut horizontally and the upper edge is concave and has been cut. There is a horizontal boss or moulded ridge on the front near the upper edge.
