The Hart
Richard Fisher issued this trade token, worth a farting, for his business at the sign of th White Hart in Putney, Surrey.
Boyne & Williamson (1891) reference Surrey number 205; Obv inscription: RICHARD.FISHER.AT.YE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A hart lodged (in field); Rev inscription: WHIT.HART.IN.PVTNEY (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = R.M.F. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
Putney was formerly part of Surrey, it now lies in the London Borough of Wandsworth.
