Drinking glass, goblet
Goblet made in Flint (colourless) glass. Trumpet bowl drawn out of a plain stem, over a plain foot with a polished pontil mark underneath. Decorated with eight tear-shaped vertical ribs applied half way down the bowl and extending the length of the stem. 'Tear' wine service, probably designed by Harry Powell, introduced at the Arts and Crafts Exhibition in 1899. Illustrated in W. Evans, C. Ross and A. Werner, Whitefriars Glass.
