Sale at Chelsea of Vagrant Dogs seized by the Police. A barn crowded with men in bowlers and top hats at an auction of stray dogs, many of which are seen in the foreground. The dog comprising the current lot is displayed on a high dais; the next is held on a lower platform supported by a number of barrels.
