The Fountain Tavern
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued at the fountain tavern, in th Strand, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2981; Obv: FOVNTAINE.TAVERNE (around field, in Roman capitals) [Boyne precedes with THE] Device = A fountain (in field); Rev inscription: IN.THE.STRAND.1657 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = E.H (in field, in Roman capitals).
