The Royal Arms
Roger Kenyon issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business in Stable Yard, St James', Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2939; Obv incription: ROGER.KENYON.IN.STABLE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = The Royal arms (in field); Rev inscription: YARD.AT.ST.IAMESES.1666 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALFE / PENNY / R.A.K. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
