The Chandler
Francis Tunsteeed issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business in Shoredtich.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2833; Obv inscription: FRANCIS.TVNSTEED.IN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A chandler (in field); Rev inscription: SHORDITCH.HIS.HALF.PENY (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = F.E.T. / 1668 (triad of initials in Roman capitals with date below, in field).
