The Three Cranes
William Lyne issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business at the sign of the Three Cranes, by the Savoy.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2744; Obv inscription: WILL.LYNE.AT.YE.3 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Three cranes (in field); Rev inscription: CRANES.BY.YE.SAVOY.STRAN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = W.E.L. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
