The Griffin ?
William Collins, a brewer, issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business in the parish of St Giles in the Fields, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2489; Obv inscription: WILL.COLLINES.BREWER (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Shield, a griffin rampant on a canton, a fleur de lis (in field); Rev inscription: IN. ST. GILES. THE. FEILDS (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = W.E.C. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
