Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2773; Obv inscription: J.D / in.Shepe / yard.his / halfe.peny (in four lines of cursive script, in field); Rev inscription: with.out / Templebar (in two lines of cursive script, in feild) Device = a ship (above inscription, in field).
Ship Yard, lay in Temple Bar without (Temple Bar within, being part of the City of London), in Westminster, Middlesex; the area is now part of the City of Westminster.
