The Grocers' Arms
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued for a business in New Palace Yard, Westminster, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2047; Obv inscription: IN.THE.NEW.PALLES.YARD (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = The Grocers' arms (in field); Rev inscription: AT.WESTMINSTER.1649 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = W.A.I. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
