William Edmonds issued this trade token, worth a half penny, at the Globe tavern, in Long Acre, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1787; Obv inscription: WILL. EDMONDS. AT. YE. GLOBE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A globe (in field); Rev inscription: TAVERN.IN.LONGE.AKER.67 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALFE / PENNY / W.E.M. (in four lines of Roman capitals, in field).
