The Three Sugar Loaves
Thomas Prence issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business in Hatton Garden, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1328; Obv inscription: THOMAS.PRENCE.IN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Three sugar-loaves and T.M.P. (triad of initials in Roman capitals around signs, in field); Rev inscription: HATTON.GARDEN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALFE / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
