Eleaner Weaver issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for her business near Gray's Inn Gate, Holborn, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1239; Obv inscription: ELEANER.WEAVER.NEAR (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = E.W (in field, in Roman capitals); Rev inscription: GRAIES.INN.GATE.HOLBVRNE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A / HALFE / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
