The Seven Stars
Richard Brigstock issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his busines at the Seven Stars tavern in East Smithfield, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 906; Obv inscription: RICHARD.BRIGSTOCK (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Seven stars (in field); Rev inscription: IN.EST.SMITHFEILD.66 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = R.G.B. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
East Smithfield, lies in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, having formerly been part of, Stepney, Middlesex.
