Richard Johnson issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business in Drury Lane, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 873; Obv inscription: RICHARD.IOHNSON (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A bell (in field); Rev inscription: IN.DREWRY.LANE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = R.S.I. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
