The World's End
John Golbarne issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for the World's End tavern in Cow Cross (now St John Street), Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 753; Obv inscription: IOHN.GOLBARNE.AT.THE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = I.M.G. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field); Rev inscription: WORLDS.END.COW.CROSS (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Trees with water, birds etc. (in field).
