Judith Ellis issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for her business in Charing Cross, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 541; Obv inscription: Judeth / Elliss / 1664 (in three lines of cursive script, in field); Rev inscription: AT.CHARING.CROSS.HER.HALF.PENY (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A horseshoe (in field).
